FREDERICK, Md – The Lady Panthers of Baltimore City Community College (22-0; 10-0 MD JUCO Conference) have moved another step closer to earning another championship this season and in 12 years as Region XX Champions.

BCCC defeated Garrett College 73-39 in the semi-final game to earn a date with Prince George’s Community College (18-6; 12-1 MD JUCO Conference) in the championship game Sunday at 1 p.m. on the campus of Frederick Community College.

This will be the second time this season the two teams have met.  The Lady Owls consistently play BCCC tough; however, the first meeting found the Lady Panthers winning in convincing fashion 70-44.  The first and only meeting was a non-conference game which the conference game was canceled due to bad weather.

The last meeting freshman point guard Ciarra Lucas (Old Mill/Baltimore) led all scorers with 23 points, seven rebounds and two assists.  While freshman point guard Tanira McClurkin (St. Frances/Baltimore) ended the game with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and six steals.
