Hagerstown, MD – BCCC Panthers (17-11; 7-7 MD JUCO Conference) has extended their winning streak to seven games after defeating the College of Southern MD 105-80 after a second time in the 2010 post-season play. The Panthers has advanced to the semifinal round of the Region XX Tournament to play against number two seed Community College of Beaver County (15-4).
After winning the MD JUCO Conference championship and now the quarterfinal round of the Region XX Tournament, the Panthers now find themselves with their second rematch of the season against Beaver County. During the regular season BCCC lost 95-90 in a non-conference matchup.
Sophomore forward and NJCAA All-American John Williams (Mervo/Baltimore, MD) finished the game with a game high 25 points, 10 rebounds and three assists followed by freshman forward Theodore West (Kensington/Philadelphia, PA) ending the game with 13 points and seven rebounds.
The semifinal round is set to begin at 1 p.m. on the campus of Hagerstown Community College. The BCCC/Beaver County winner will play the winner of the second semifinal round game of Harford /Cecil.
