SALISBURY, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2011 season at the Don Cathcart Invitational hosted by Salisbury University. In the first race of the inaugural season for both teams, the men finished 14
th, while the women turned in a 16
th-place finish.
On the men's side, Ryan Jackson of Salisbury finished the 8K course in 24 minutes and 55 seconds to win the individual title. East Stroudsburg's Rosie Mascoli took the women's 3K title in 21:06.
BCCC's top finisher on the men's side was
Yohann M'Pelingo (Pascal Blaise HS (France)) who completed the race in 34:10.
Shamera O'Neil (Southwestern HS) paced the women's team, finishing in 28:10.
