BALTIMORE, Md. – Over 30 Baltimore City Community College student-athletes and athletics department staff gathered on Saturday to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Baltimore.
“It was an amazing experience to have the Department of Athletics join the Office of Student Life to show our support for breast cancer awareness, said
Tara A. Owens, BCCC Director of Athletics. “The students and staff acquired valuable knowledge about breast cancer by participating in this event. We will continue to support the fight against cancer throughout the year by hosting and participating in various activities.”
Wearing special-made hoodies that read, “BCCC is helping to create a world with more birthdays,” members of the athletic administration, coaching staffs, men's and women's cross country teams, men's and women's basketball teams, and the women's volleyball team completed the four-mile course in East Baltimore.
