Box Score BALTIMORE,MD. - BCCC men's team hosted MD JUCO opponent College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Tuesday night and won 85-73. ThePanthers improve to an overall record of 10-6 and a conference record of 4-1.
It was clear that CSM came to play with a steal and score within the first ten seconds. The Panthers took the lead at 17-15 with just over 5 minutes gone in the first half when the defense picked up and held CSM to 5 points over the next ten minutes of play to build a 19 point lead with just over 6 minutes to go in the half. Southern Maryland responded and cut the lead to 10 points at the half 45-35.
CSM cut the lead to 3 points to start the second half before Baltimore City kicked in the defense once again to build a double digit lead that they maintained the rest of the game. Southern Maryland was led by David Francis with 19 points and Anthony Williams who added 17 points. The Panthers leading scorers were sophomores
Haneef Vaughn-Wilson with 24 points,
Chad Andrews-Fulton adding a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, and
Joe Hugley with 14 points.
The Panthers gear up for a road trip to Garrett College on Saturday, January 14th at 5 pm.
