Chambers Leads Cecil College Past BCCC 3-0

Brittany Dean hit a team-high .222 with three kills, one ace and one block assist.

ELKTON, Md. – Kayla Chambers had a match-high 10 kills and hit .300 with seven digs and three service aces to lead the Cecil College volleyball team to a 3-0 win (25-13, 25-14, 25-13) win over Baltimore City Community College on Friday night at the Cecil College P.E. Complex.

Cecil improved to 4-7 with the win, while BCCC fell to 0-10 on the season.

Despite the scores, the Lady Panthers played one of their best matches this season. They scored first and maintained leads in each of the last two sets.

Cecil setter Ashley Gilbert just missed a double-double with 26 assists and nine aces.

Shray Roberts (Baltimore, Md.) led the Lady Panthers with five kills, five digs and two block assists. Brittany Dean (Baltimore, Md.) hit a team-high .222 with three kills, one ace and one block assist.

The Lady Panthers have the weekend off before traveling to Rockville, Md. to take on Montgomery College-Rockville. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start.
