Bel Air, Md. – Amanda Barger and Amanda Mackey each had match-highs of five kills to lead the Harford Community College volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-10, 25-7, 25-11) win over Baltimore City Community College on Thursday night at Susquehanna Gym.
The Fighting Owls (2-5) gave the Panthers (0-3) a rough time, but the Panthers managed to record season-highs in kills (nine), digs (12) and block assists (four).
Emma Anderson had match-highs 11 digs and eight service aces for Harford, while Barger and Jaclyn Hall had six aces apiece.
For BCCC, Kasha Gamble (Baltimore, Md.) had a team- and career-high three kills. Shray Roberts (Baltimore, Md.) and Deviann Whyte (Baltimore, Md.) tallied two kills each. Roberts recorded a match- and career-best two block assists.
The Panthers return to action tomorrow at Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Md. The match is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
