BCCC Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Allegany

BALTIMORE, Md.
– Jessica Robertson had a match-high four kills to lead the Allegany College Lady Trojans (2-4) to a 3-0 win (25-12, 25-8, 25-14) win over Baltimore City Community College (0-1) on Saturday at the BCCC P.E. Center.

In the first set, the Panthers tied things at 3-all on an attack error by Allegany's Cherie Webb. The Lady Trojans took the lead for good on an attack error by Deviann Whyte (Baltimore, Md.).

The Panthers scored first in the second set, but managed just eight points along the way. BCCC came out hot in the final set, taking a 9-7 lead after a kill by Sharay Cross (Baltimore, Md.). An error by Tiara Williams (Baltimore, Md.) gave Allegany a 10-9 lead and the Lady Trojans sealed the 25-14 win on back-to-back service aces by Lindsey Fisher.

Fisher tallied a match-high 14 assists, while Webb led her team with four digs.

Cross, Shray Roberts (Baltimore, Md.) and Kasha Gamble (Baltimore, Md.) each had two kills for BCCC. Defensively, Roberts added a match-high seven digs.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday night when they host the College of Southern Maryland in a 6 p.m. matchup.
