BALTIMORE, Md. – Danielle Standley (Milford Mill Academy) tallied a team-high 11 kills, hit .474 and had two solo blocks to lead the Baltimore City Community College women's volleyball to a 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-11) win over Garrett College on Wednesday night at the BCCC P.E. Center. Sophomores Sheena Belton (Edmondson-Westside HS) and Aviann Rose (Forest Park HS) were recognized prior to the game.
Garrett (0-20) hung in with BCCC (3-17) in the first two sets, but the Lady Panthers dominated the third set for the win.
Kourtney Anderson (Baltimore City College HS) had 10 kills, four digs and one ace, while Rachael Griffith (Western HS) recorded a team-high 27 assists and added two kills and three aces.
Belton had three kills and four aces and Rose had five kills, four assists and one total block.
The Lady Panthers are off until next Wednesday when they travel to La Plata, Md. to take on the College of Southern Maryland at 6 p.m.
