BALTIMORE, Md. – The College of Southern Maryland women's volleyball team defeated Baltimore City Community College 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-13) on Tuesday night at the BCCC P.E. Center.
BCCC (3-12) struggled offensively for the entire match, scoring no more than 17 points in any of the three sets.
Kourtney Anderson (Baltimore, Md./City College) led the team with seven kills and added nine digs and one ace.
Rodchell Thompson (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn HS) tallied a team-high 11 digs and
Rachel Griffith (Baltimore, Md./Western HS) had a team-best 10 assists.
BCCC will participate in the 2012 New Horizons/Tracey Leather Memorial Tournament hosted by Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Md. on Saturday and Sunday. The Lady Panthers will play Frederick Community College (10 a.m.) and CCBC-Catonsville (4 p.m.) on Saturday and Harford Community College (10 a.m.) and Allegany College of Maryland (4 p.m.) on Sunday.
