FREDERICK, Md. – Harcum College defeated the Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team 106-77 on Saturday in the Roy Rogers Classic hosted by Frederick Community College. The loss snapped the Panthers' five-game win streak, dropping their overall record to 8-2.
BCCC trailed at the half by only nine, 42-33, before the game got out of hand in the second half. Harcum outscored BCCC 66-44.
Harcum attempted 35 free throws and converted on 26 of them (74 percent), while the Panthers went 11-of-18 (61 percent) from the line for the game. Harcum also outrebounded the Panthers 46-36 and the Panthers shot 35 percent (29-of-81) for the game.
Harcum had all but one player to score in double figures.
For BCCC, Quentin Judd (Baltimore, Md./Pensacola State College) led the team with 15 points and Sean Farr (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) finished with 13 points and nine rebounds. Aaron Parham (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) and Ronald Epps (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor HS) had 11 points and five assists and 10 points, respectively.
The Panthers will take on Monroe College in game two of the Roy Rogers Classic on Sunday at 1 p.m.
