BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team will be the No. 2 seed in the 2012 Region XX Division II Tournament, hosted by Hagerstown Community College from March 2-4. The Panthers (20-10) will play No. 7 Garrett College (13-14) at 7 p.m. on Friday.

BCCC and Garrett faced off on Jan. 7 at the BCCC P.E. Center and the Panthers came out with an 89-77 win.

The Panthers were eliminated from the 2012 Maryland JUCO Conference Tournament in the semifinal round by top-seeded Hagerstown CC on Feb. 18.

BCCC topped the 20-win mark for the second season in a row with a 94-88 win at Montgomery College-Takoma Park this past Saturday. Carlos Smith (Baltimore, Md./Forest Park HS) led the way with 25 points, while Theodore West (Philadelphia, Pa./Kensington HS) had 20 points and Sea Farr (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) added 14 points.
