BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College volleyball team gave a valiant effort in a thrilling five set match losing 3-2 (17-25, 15-25, 25-23, 27-25, 13-15), against Harford Community College, on Thursday night at the P.E. Center. The loss brings the Lady Panthers record to 6-15, 3-7 MD JUCO for the season.

The Lady Panthers fell behind early dropping the first two sets, but in the third set the Lady Panthers hard work and resilience worked in their favor winning the third set. With momentum carrying over and the crowd giving them life, the Lady Panthers rallied off another close set to force a fifth and deciding set.

After trailing 8-1, the Lady Panthers regained their composure and fought back to make the game intriguing by going on a 9-3 run, cutting the lead to one (11-10). The last points of the match were very intense as the Lady Panthers came up short in front of a crowd who gave the women a standing ovation for their outstanding performance.

Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had a team-high 11 kills, six digs and three total blocks. Rickiara Washington (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor) finished with nine kills, five digs, three aces and two assists.

Tiffany White (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor) ended the match with 22 assists, seven kills and four digs. Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md./Western HS) recorded six kills and five block assists.

Danaira Duncan (Baltimore, Md./Coppin Academy) had a season-high 12 digs while adding two aces for the night. Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md./Carver Vo-Tech) contributed with six kills and three aces.

Kheri Mobley (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic) pitched in with four kills for the match.

The Lady Panthers will travel to Essex, Md. for a 6 p.m. match against CCBC-Essex.
