BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College volleyball team defeated Cecil College on Thursday night at the P.E Center in straight sets (25-11, 25-23, 25-10). The win takes
the Lady Panthers record to 8-15, 5-7 MD JUCO.
It was Sophomore Night and the last home game for four ladies on the volleyball team: Briana Miller (Baltimore, Md./Western HS), Kheri Mobley (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic),
Tiffany White (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor) and Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown).
Miller finished the game with two digs, one ace and one assists and Mobley had a season-high seven kills while adding two digs, two solo blocks, two block assists and one assist.
Scott ended the match with a team-high nine kills, eight digs, three aces, three assists and a block assist. White tallied 20 assists, eight digs, six kills, one ace and one block assists.
Rickiara Washington (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor) recorded seven kills, four digs and three aces for the match, while Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md./Western HS)amassed four kills, two solo blocks, one dig and one ace.
Danaira Duncan (Baltimore, Md./Coppin Academy) led the team with a season-high 13 digs and Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md./Carver Vo-Tech) contributed with two kills.
The Lady Panthers will travel to Bel Air, Md. for a match against Harford Community College in the Region XX Finals. The match will begin at 7 p.m.
