BCCC Wins against Chesapeake College 79-65

BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team beat Chesapeake College 79-65, on Saturday afternoon at the P.E. Center. The win gave the Panthers their first conference game of the season.
 
The Panthers (3-1, 1-1 MDJUCO) shot over 50 percent from the field (52.7%), out-rebounded the Skipjacks 34-29 and forced 20 turnovers in the win.
 
The Skipjacks were lead in scoring by Quentin Duncan with 13 points. Timothy McNeal had 12 points and eight rebounds and Kamron Hall finished with 10 points.
 
For BCCC, Xavier Richards (St. Thomas, U.S.V.I./Gwynn Parks HS) had a career-high 28 points in the game and Kavon Pyatt (Baltimore, Md./Edmondson HS) scored 16 points to go along with six assists, five rebounds and three steals.
 
John Majors (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo HS) ended with 14 points and five boards and Brian Kelley (Lanham, Md./Atlantic Shores HS) contributed with nine points and seven assists.
 
The Panthers will head out to Lubbock, Texas to play South Plains College on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday against New Mexico Military at 11 a.m.
