BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday to play in their final Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) games of the season. The women take the floor at 6 p.m. and the men will follow at 8 p.m.
The men will be playing for the regular-season conference title as both BCCC (17-8) and Hagerstown (22-2) are tied at the top of the conference standings with a 13-1 record. The Panthers have won their last three games, while the Hawks are on a 10-game winning streak.
The Panther men will host the first-round MD JUCO game on Tuesday, February 12 at 7 p.m.
Kendal Williams (Dover, Del./Dover HS) is the Panthers' leading scorer with 15.2 points per game and
Justin Kuntz (Baltimore, Md./Glen Burnie HS) leads the team with 8.6 rebounds per game.
On the women's side, the Lady Panthers are 10-14 overall and 5-5 in conference play, while the Lady Hawks are 9-12 and 4-5. A win for BCCC will secure the 5
th seed in the conference tournament, enabling the Lady Panthers to host the first-round conference tournament game on Tuesday, February 12 at 5 p.m. But a loss could drop the Lady Panthers anywhere from sixth to ninth.
Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown HS) is the leading scorer and rebounder for the women. She is averaging 17.8 points and 13 rebounds per game.
