Lady Panthers Go 0-4 at UNC Pembroke Tournament

– The Baltimore City Community College volleyball team dropped its first four matches of the season this weekend at the UNC Pembroke Tournament. The Lady Panthers (0-4) lost in straight sets to Cape Fear Community College and Northern Virginia Community College on Friday and Spartanburg Methodist College and Wake Tech Community College on Saturday.

For the two days, Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) amassed a team-high 25 digs to go along with seven kills and four blocks. Kheri Mobley (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic) had 17 digs and a team-high of 10 total blocks.

Freshman Taylor Squirewell (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic) recorded 13 digs and 10 assists, while fellow freshman Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md./Western HS) had eight blocks and a team-high of five aces.

Sophomore Tiffany White (Baltimore, Md./Digital Harbor) had a team-high of 17 assists and added 12 kills, 18 digs and two block assists. White was named to the All-Tournament Team for her outstanding play in all four matches over the two-day tournament.

The Lady Panthers will be in action again on Monday at 6 p.m. for their first home game of the season at the P.E. Center against Central Penn College.
