Baltimore, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team defeated Harford Community College 89-75 on Thursday night in the P.E. Center.
BCCC jumped out to an early 11-3 lead before going into the break with a 45-39 lead.
In the first half the Panthers had 14 assists on 15 made baskets.
In the second half, the Panthers led by as many as 15 in the second half on their way to a convincing win getting.
The Owls were led in scoring by Chidozie Omile with a game high 26 points.
Telvonne Lambert had 14 points and Wyatt Smith posted a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Robert Konteh and Tyler Napierala also had double-doubles with 11 boards and 10 points and 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively.
For the Panthers,
Xavier Richards (St. Thomas, U.S.V.I./Gwynn Park HS) had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds to go along with nine assists and four blocks.
Brelin Elliott (Hughesville, Md./Thomas Stone HS) had 12 points.
Kavon Pyatt (Baltimore, Md./Edmondson HS) came off the bench with 14 points and seven rebounds and
DaJuan Dent (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills HS) contributed with 12 points and six boards.
Brelin Elliott (Hughesville, Md./Thomas Stone HS) ended with 10 points and seven rebounds.
The men will be in action against Frederick Community College on Saturday January 25
th, for a 7 p.m. game.
