Panthers overcome a 17 point Deficit in an 81-74 Victory over Chesapeake College

Xavier Richards scored 20 or more points for the fourth time this season.

WYE MILLS, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team defeated Chesapeake College 81-74 on Thursday night. BCCC ended their three-game skid to bring them 6-6, 3-1MD JUCO. The win however, is the third conference win in a row for BCCC to go into the Christmas break.
 
The Panthers trailed at the half 42-29 and by 17 at one point before outscoring the Skipjacks (5-12, 4-4) 50-32 in the second half.
 
For BCCC, Xavier Richards (St. Thomas, U.S.V.I./Gwynn Park HS) had a team-high 21 points to go along with six rebounds.
 
DaJuan Dent (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills HS) and Kavon Pyatt (Baltimore, Md./Edmondson HS) both scored 14 points and had four rebounds, three steals and two blocks and seven boards and four assists respectively.
 
The Panthers will be host Allegany College of Maryland at 3 p.m. at the P.E. Center on Saturday January 4th, as they return back from the Holiday break.
 
General admission is $5.00, $2.00 for BCPS and free admissions for faculty and students with a valid I.D.
