Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team loss to ASA College 92-85, on Friday night in the first day of the Baltimore City Legends Classic at the P.E. Center. The loss takes BCCC to 3-2 overall for the season.
The Panthers had control of the game for majority of the first half, even leading by eight (36-28) with just under 3:00 remaining. A lay-up by Chevy Brown from ASA College tied the game at 36 apiece with 1:22 before the half.
After three lead changes, the Panthers trailed by only one at the half (43-42).
In the second half the Panthers were able to keep the game close as they did in the first half and after two
Terry Harris (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS), free-throws the score was 54-54 with 14:18 in the game.
BCCC was able to cut the lead to five, but not until the waning seconds of the game.
For ASA, they had all five starters to score in double figures: Raphael Jennings had 22 points, Gjaimeir Stanford 21, Javonte' Miles 17, Chevy Brown 13 and KC West 11. John Mitchell had a game-high 12 rebounds.
Harris led the Panthers a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds alongside three blocks on the night.
Wilmer Johnson (New Castle, Del./William Penn HS) scored 19 points and
John Majors (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo HS) finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.
DaJuan Dent (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills HS) ended with eight points and eight rebounds and
Chas Brown (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic HS) pitched in with six points and eight boards.
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) had 10 points.
