Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team loss to Harcum College 86-68 on Saturday in Baltimore City Legends Classic at the P.E. Center. BCCC went 0-2 over the weekend, bringing their overall record to 3-3 for the season.
BCCC started the game slow trailing by nine (13-4) before they got into gear to make it a game using a 9-0 run capped by a three-pointer by
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS).
The Panthers fell behind by as many as 23 points in the first half to the Bears and trailed at halftime 51-31.
In the second half, the Panthers cut the deficit to 10 on two occasions, the last being at the 15:18 mark after two free-throws by
John Majors (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo HS).
Savalas Pope led the Bears with 19 points while adding nine rebounds. Kamall Richards scored 17 and Elliott Smith had 16 points. Brandon Channer scored 11 points and Mihailo Vasic had a double-double with 14 rebounds and 10 points.
For BCCC,
Terry Harris (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds and
Chas Brown (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic HS) recorded a his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 boards.
Brian Kelley (Lanham, Md./Atlantic Shores) had a double-double with 13 points and 11 assists and
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) ended with 11 points.
The Panthers will head to La Plata, Md. to face College of Southern Maryland at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18
th.
General admissions for the tournament will be $8.00, for BCPS $2.00 and free admissions for faculty and students with a valid college I.D.
