Mark Felton, and brings the Lady Panthers record to 1-3 to start the season.
On Sunday, the Lady Panthers started the day off with a win versus CCBC-Catonsville (33-31, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17). The Lady Panthers went on to play CCBC-Essex and were defeated 3-0 (11-25, 23-25, 6-25) in their last game of the tournament.
The Lady Panthers dropped their first two matches on Saturday, as they were defeated by both Lackawanna College (14-25, 15-25, 24-26) and Howard Community College (21-25, 13-25, 21-25).
Jasmine Ashe (Baltimore, Md./Western HS) led the team with 21 blocks and 20 kills and added seven aces for the tournament. Ashe also set a new Panthers record for most blocks (7) in a single match against Catonsville.
Kierra Glasgow-Gibson (Baltimore, Md./Mervo HS) finished with 14 kills and 12 digs.
Breiona Garrison (Baltimore, Md./Carver Vo-Tech) and
Michelle Wright (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) both had 10 kills apiece.
Garrison also had 29 digs, a team-high 13 aces and five total blocks. Wright ended the tournament with six blocks.
Jaizmeine Ramirez (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn HS) had a team-high 45 digs. Ramirez broke the Panthers record for most digs in a single match (21) against Catonsville.
Brianna Suggs (Baltimore, Md./Mervo HS) led the team with 34 assists and also pitched in with eight digs and six aces.
Aminah Carter (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College HS) contributed with 14 assists for the tournament.
Ashe was named to the All-Tournament team for her outstanding play.
The Lady Panthers head to Hagerstown, Md. to face Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday, September 3
rd at 6 p.m.
