BCCC Falls to CCBC-Dundalk 95-83

DUNDALK, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team fell to CCBC-Dundalk on Saturday afternoon 95-83. BCCC falls to 8-9, 5-3 MD JUCO.
 
After scoring the first two points on the game, BCCC fell victim to a 26-9 run and could never recover from the onslaught by Dundalk.
 
The Panthers cut the lead to four with 7:20 in the first half before the Lions (12-5, 6-1) used a 16-0 run to expand the lead to 19.
 
The Panthers trailed at the break 56-34.
 
In the second half BCCC trailed by as many as 29 points, but they kept fighting back. The deficit was cut to 12 late in the game, but there was not enough time for BCCC to complete the valiant comeback.
 
CCBC-Dundalk was led by Sean Tarver with 22 points and five rebounds and Ugochukwu Onwudiegwu had 16 points. Kevin Davis and Jayin Sharp scored 14 and 13 points respectively. Brandon Fields dished out a game-high 15 assists.
 
For the Panthers, Brian Kelley (Lanham, Md./Atlantic Shores) finished the game with 19 points and two blocks.
 
Deion Evans (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep HS) posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 boards and Chas Brown (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic HS) ended the game with 12 points, six rebounds, four blocks, four steals and three assists.
 
The Panthers will travel to North East, Md. on Wednesday, January 14th to take on Cecil College at 7 p.m.
