Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team finished 2-1 over the weekend in the 3
rd Annual Baltimore City Legends Classic that was held in the P.E. Center.
On Sunday, November 15
th in the P.E. Center the Panthers improved their overall record to 4-2 with a win against Hagerstown Community College 78-69.
The first half was plagued by turnovers by each team and a struggle on the offensive end. After falling behind by seven (11-4), the Panthers took a 22-21 lead with 5:39 seconds left in the first half on a three-pointer by
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS).
The Panthers took a 34-26 lead at the half.
The Panthers took their largest lead at 18 points after Thomas split a pair of free-throws with 11:34 to go in the game.
Thomas scored 16 second half points to keep the Hawks at bay in the second half and to secure the victory for the Panthers.
Hagerstown was led by Gabriel Mack with 14 points and Chad Yard with 13 points and six rebounds. Jason Hutzler went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field with 10 points off the bench.
For the Panthers, Thomas had a game-high 20 points.
Chad Andrews-Fulton (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution HS) scored 14 points pulled in nine rebounds and
Haneef Vaughn-Wilson (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution HS) had a
double-double with 12 points and 10 assists along with five steals and grabbing four rebounds.
On Wednesday November, 18
th the Panthers will host the Cougars of Frederick Community College in the P.E. Center for Youth Day at 4 p.m.
General admission will be $5, $2 for BCPS and free admission for BCCC faculty, staff and students with valid I.D.
