Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball team finished the regular-season with a win over Chesapeake College 93-79 Tuesday night in the P.E. Center. BCCC finished the season on a five-game winning streak and winning their last four conference games.
The Panthers are 14-10, 10-4 MD JUCO.
BCCC started out the gate with a three-pointer by
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) and they never looked back. BCCC did not trail at any point in the game.
The Panthers had 30 assists on 39 made field goals. The Panthers have averaged 27.4 assists as a team over the past five games. The bench scored 37 points and the Panthers as a team punished the Skipjacks in the paint 60-18.
Timothy McNeal and Demetre Johnson lead Chesapeake with 16 rebounds and 15 points and 15 points respectively. Garrett Washington scored 14 points and pulled down seven boards and Paul Joseph and Monte Artis both had 13 points. Joseph also had nine rebounds and six assists and Artis had seven boards.
For the Panthers,
John Majors (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo HS) had 17 points and seven rebounds.
Fellow frontcourt mate
Chas Brown (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic HS) scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
DaJuan Dent (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills HS) contributed with 15 points and
Keon Press (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City HS) scored 10 points off the bench.
Deion Evans (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep HS) ended with 10 points and nine boards. Thomas had 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
The Panthers will play on Saturday, February 7
th in the P.E. Center versus College of Southern Maryland. The next time the Panthers will be in action will be in Rockville, Md. on Friday, February 13
th in the MD JUCO Tournament.
General admissions for the tournament will be $5.00, for BCPS $2.00 and free admissions for faculty and students with a valid college I.D.
