Box Score LA PLATA, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College volleyball team fell to defeat on Tuesday night to College of Southern Maryland 3-0 (25-9, 25-23, 25-8) in the first conference game of the year.
After a rough first set, the Lady Panthers (0-2, 0-1 MD JUCO) were able to make the second set very interesting as they trailed late 24-17. The Lady Panthers made a run with great defense up front spearheaded by
Alyn Sankar (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) and
LaShay Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS).
With the score 24-23 in favor of the Lady Hawks and a very crucial point awaited to be played, the Lady Panthers were unsuccessful in tying the game and the Lady Hawks took a 2-0 lead going into the third set.
The Lady Panthers will be back in action on Thursday night September 3
rd, at 6 p.m. in Dover, Del. against Delaware Tech Community College.
