BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College women's volleyball team loss a heartbreaking match against Harford Community College 3-2 (15-25, 25-20, 25-23, 8-25, 14-16) on Sunday afternoon in the P.E. Center.

If the Lady Panthers could erase the start of the first set they would. Falling behind 1-0 going into the second, the Lady Panthers flipped the switch and look to be in top form winning the next two sets and taking a 2-1 lead.

In the fourth set, the Lady Fighting Owls responded with a strong 25-8 win to force a fifth and deciding set. In front of the boisterous crowd the "Panther Nation" helped the Lady Panthers to a 13-11 lead and looking for their first conference win of the season.
BCCC could not finish the deal as they were outscored 5-1 to end the game, but played valiantly in the tough defeat.

For the Lady Panthers, Alyn Sankar (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) had a team-high eight kills to go with eight digs and two block assists.

Charlida Basarath (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney HS) and LaShay Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) had four kills apiece. Basarath also had seven digs, three block assists and two aces while Stackhouse recorded six digs, three aces and two block assists.  

Destiny Hutchins (Baltimore, Md./Mervo HS) ended the match with four digs, two kills, two aces and two block assists and Courtney Crawford (Lanham, Md./Archbishop Carroll HS) had nine total blocks and two digs and one kill.

Jasmine Alston (Baltimore, Md./Mervo HS) finished the game with 16 assists, four digs, two aces and one kill. Roxanne Dorsey (Baltimore, Md./Poly HS) raked in a team-high 14 digs to go alongside two kills.

Destiny Harris (Baltimore, Md./Edmondson HS) contributed with six digs in the match.

The Lady Panthers will be on the road as they travel to Wye Mills, Md. to face Chesapeake College, for a 7 p.m. game on Tuesday, September 29^th.
