Box Score 2 BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's basketball teams both seasons ended to Division I rivals Harford Community College this week.
The Lady Panthers were defeated on Thursday, February 25
th in the P.E. Center by the Lady Fighting Owls of Harford Community College 81-46 in the Region XX Championship game.
The Lady Fighting Owls had three players in double figures: Dasia Harris led all scorers with 29 points and eight assists, Darra Walker ended with 13 points and Domonique Walker scored 10 points and pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers were led by freshman guard
Natasha Roy (Gambrills, Md./Arundel HS) with 13 points and sophomore forward
Alyn Sankar (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) with 10 points and seven rebounds.
On Friday night on the men's side, the Panthers faced the Fighting Owls in the opening round of the Region XX Tournament and loss 89-70 in the ARCC in Hagerstown, Md.
After an even first half of play the score was 34-34, but in the second half the Panthers were outscored 55-36 by the Fighting Owls.
Harford had four players in double figures with a game-high 25 points coming from Aaron McDonald, Davonte Williams chipped in with 14 points and Jaylin Johnson and Cedric Hines scored 13 and 12 respectively.
For BCCC,
Fredrell Jenkins (New Orleans, La./JS Clark) had a team-high of 21 points.
Mekhi Bryant (Fairless Hills, Pa./Pennsbury HS) finished with 12 points and five assists and
Chad Andrews-Fulton (Philadelphia, Pa./Constitution HS) and
Kelvin Howard (Temple Hills, Md./Dematha HS) both scored 10 points.
