Box Score 2 LARGO, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's basketball team defeated Prince George's Community College on Wednesday night in the Novak Field House.
In the women's game, the Lady Panthers rolled past the Lady Owls of Prince George's Community College 81-43.
Brittany Hinton (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep HS) scored a team-high 20 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field and pulled down eight rebounds.
Alexis Wade (Raleigh, N.C./Southeast Raleigh HS) scored 16 points and gathered in nine boards to go along with six steals.
The Panthers held on late to a 86-85 victory over the Owls of Prince George's Community College, after stumbling late in the final minute of Wednesday night's game.
Tre' Thomas (Bowie, Md./Riverdale Baptist HS) hit the game-winning free-throw with five seconds to go in the game.
Fredrell Jenkins (New Orleans, La/JS Clark HS)and
Khyree Hunt Hawkins (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington HS) both scored over 20 points in the game with 22 and 21 respectively.
Both teams will be in action on Saturday, February 6
rd in Cumberland, Md. as they take on Allegany College of Maryland. The women's game will start at 1 p.m. and the men's game will follow at 3 p.m.
