Box Score 2 ROCKVILLE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's basketball team defeated Montgomery College on Tuesday night.
In the women's game, the Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Raptors of Montgomery College 89-65.
Natasha Roy (Gambrills, Md./Arundel HS) led the team with 18 points while
Alyn Sankar (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) and
LaShay Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) both had double-doubles with 14 points apiece and 11 and 15 rebounds respectively.
The Panthers rallied back late in Tuesday night's game to give the Raptors of Montgomery College their third loss of the season in the conference and remained tied for first place in a 71-69 victory.
Fredrell Jenkins (New Orleans, La/JS Clark HS) scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the game.
Sophomore
Kelvin Howard (Temple Hills, Md./Dematha HS) scored the go-ahead basket for the Panthers with a put back with 0:20 left in the game.
Both teams will be playing on Wednesday, February 3
rd in Largo, Md. when they face Prince George's Community College to complete the team's back-to-back schedule. The women's game will start at 5 p.m. and the men's game will follow at 7 p.m.
