Lady Panthers rout Trojans on Sophomore Day

BALTIMORE, MD -- It was a runaway victory for the Baltimore City Community College Panthers on sophomore day and they wouldn't want it any other way.

Winners of three in a row and seven of their last eight, the women's Panthers (14-9, 8-2 MD JUCO) team dominated the visiting Trojans of Allegany College from tip-off as they raced out to a 22-3 at the end of the first quarter.

The scoring onslaught continued for the entire game as six different Lady Panthers scored in double figures and BCCC defeated Allegany 109-39 on Saturday afternoon in their final regular season home game of the season. The seventy point margin of victory was the largest of the season for the Panthers.

Klaudija Bacovic led BCCC with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 steals. Raelyn Muldrow scored 18 while Vivian Chigbu scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Gelecia Cooper had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Sasha Francis and Staisha Daniels scored 12 and 10 points respectively.

The Lady Panthers will take on Garrett College at 5:00PM on Monday, February 4th. After that they'll travel to Wye Mills, MD to go up against Chesapeake College in the final game of the regular season
