The BCCC Panthers defeated the Hawks of Delaware Tech 81-62 Thursday night at the PEC. The margin of victory was their largest in more than five years. The team was led in scoring by Sophomore Marquise Delahaye who put up 28 points. He connected on13 of the 16 shots he attempted. He was joined in double figures by Freshmen Kuich Gatwiech who scored 10 to go along with 6 rebounds. This was the second game between the two teams in less than a week as the Panthers traveled north on 95 to defeat the Hawks 75-69 in a tight game. 

The game was close throughout the first half. The lead changed five times as the Hawks took a 2 point lead into the second half. Coach Wooten and staff took the team into the locker room and made some adjustments to the game plan. The Panthers came out and turned defense into offense. Freshmen Jerimiah Woodland came in at the point and disrupted the guards of the Hawks. He forced turnovers which lead to fast breaks that included memorable dunks by Freshmen Isaiah Reed who lead the team with 13 rebounds to go along with 9 points and Freshmen Bryson Spruell who snagged 5 steals. The Panthers took over half-way through the quarter building a lead by as much as 25 points. They kept the Hawks from penetrating and held them to one shot.
This was the third win in a row for the Panthers. They are back in action November 23rd when they travel down to Virginia Beach to take on Bryant & Stratton College. The game starts at 3:00 pm.
