The Lady Panthers took the drive up to Allegany College of Maryland to take on the Trojans. With no wins at this point, they were determined to turn the season around and they did. The Lady Panthers won 59-45. The team played better in all aspects of the game. There were fewer turnovers, better passing and good interior defense. The team was lead in scoring by Freshmen
Luv Barron, She put up 16 points. She was joined in double figures by fellow freshmen
London Galbraith and
Alaysia Fernandez who posted 15 and 11 respectively.
This is the first win for the Panthers since making their return to action. Its been six years since they have competed. Today's game saw a team getting to know each other a little better. Any team starting out with 11 freshmen will take time to jell and get into a playing flow. The season is still relatively young. There are more than 20 games left and then the Lady Panthers will host the Region 20 Championships. Today was not a peak for the team but a turning point. They take on Hagerstown next December 11, Wednesday night at the PE Center of BCCC. Tippoff is 5:00 pm,
