Panthers Let Halftime Lead Slip Through Their Fingers Against Hawks

 
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball program held the upper-hand at the break for the first time this season but could not hang onto the four-point advantage (33-29), allowing Southern Maryland to outscore the Red and Black by 13 over the final 20 minutes to escape, 74-65.

  • Antonio Fliggins was just one point behind Lascot, also setting personal bests in scoring at 14 and field goals with seven (7-for-12, 58.3%), leading all Panthers regarding both assists (6) and steals (4) as well.
 
  • Anthony Baker was the top rebounder for either side, pulling down a half-dozen boards whereas Jamar Payen dropped the full dozen into the scoresheet (12 points) as he was one of three student-athletes to notch a block along with Motsumi Maayani and Albatrit Syla.
