Breast Cancer Awareness Night was the theme for the Panthers basketball game versus the Lakers of Garrett Community College. The men's and women's basketball teams wore the traditional pink t-shirts and socks that symbolize the commitment to support those stricken with the disease and the determination to bring awareness and prevention until a cure is found.
The Athletic Director, Dr, Pope showed a Power-point Presentation prior to the start of each game. The presentation provided statistics showing the number of cancer diagnosis in the state of Maryland. There was also information about resources for mammograms and support for individuals who could not afford it. Each guest was provided with information to take home at the conclusion of the games.
