Baltimore Hangs Tough With 20-Win Allegany (Maryland)

 
BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College men's basketball program played one of its better games despite defeat, going toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the region before ultimately falling, 77-64, to the Allegany (Maryland) Trojans.

  • Jamari Seri fronted the Red and Black in every statistical category except blocks while coming off the bench, totaling 12 points, eight rebounds, two steals, and two assists as he went 5-for-7 (71.4%) from the field.
 
  • Albatrit Syla was second in scoring command at 11 points, doing so over a shortened 17-minute span whereas Antonio Fliggins also dropped 11 points, each player logging a pair of dimes in addition to combining for seven boards.
 
  • Shawn Nherisson averaged just under a point per minute at seven in nine including one of the Panthers' three blocked shots.

  • Prior to Thursday night's 7 p.m. tip-off versus Harcum, the men's basketball program will recognize their four sophomores; Anthony Baker, Antonio Fliggins, Lebarron Gordon, and Albatrit Syla, as well as women's basketball's lone sophomore Promise Whitmore, since the women had their final home game of the year canceled.
