A bucket by Kendra Powell with 15:58 left broke the tie and gave PHCC a lead it would hang on to for the rest of the game. The closest the Lady Panthers would get would be 12-11 after a 3-pointer by Keyontay Dunaway (Baltimore, Md.) with 13:35 left in the opening period.
PHCC went into halftime up 40-21.
The Lady Patriots went on a 48-10 run to start the second half. A layup by Tarshara Van Alstyne with 5:39 left in the game ended the run. Aissata Dicko (Bamako, Mali, Ecovie HS) scored six of the Lady Panthers' 10 points in the last 4:54 of the game, but it was not enough to overcome PHCC's large lead.
