FREDERICK, Md. – Kristine Mial scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Frederick Community College women's basketball team to a 98-45 Maryland JUCO Conference win over Baltimore City Community College on Wednesday afternoon at the FCC Cougar Dome.
Mial was 11-of-21 from the field and added game highs of eight steals and five assists. Five other Lady Cougars scored in double figures, including Bethany McCallum (16 points), Tierra Clark (14), Priscilla Moseh (11), Destony Smith (11) and Jocelyn Martin (11).
Frederick (14-0, 4-0 MD JUCO) got on the board first with layup by Danielle Robertson with 19:35 left in the first half and led for the remainder of the contest. A bucket by McCallum at the 3:23 mark in the second half gave the Lady Cougars their largest lead of the game, 96-40.
Keyontay Dunaway (Baltimore, Md./Carver HS) led BCCC (0-17, 0-5) with 17 points. Sarah Hunt-FoFana (Bronx, N.Y.) and Daryl Faulkner (Baltimore, Md./Edmonson-Westside HS) also scored in double figures with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
The Lady Panthers return to action on Saturday when they host CCBC-Dundalk at 1 p.m.
