BALTIMORE, Md. –
Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown HS) had a team-high 23 points and added 11 rebounds, but it was not enough as the Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team fell 71-56 to Chesapeake College on Wednesday night at the BCCC P.E. Center.
Chesapeake (9-1, 4-1 MDJUCO) dominated the game from the start and took a 31-17 lead into halftime. The second half was much more even with the Skipjacks scoring 40 points and BCCC (6-12, 4-6) putting up 39, but the Lady Panthers could not overcome the damage done in the first half.
Denver Clyde led Chesapeake with 21 points and Katara Pressley and Rose Smith contributed 10 points each.
Tashay Smith (Baltimore, Md./Overlea HS) poured in 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds for the Lady Panthers.
BCCC returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday against Brookdale CC at the P.E. Center.
