BALTIMORE, Md. – The Prince George's Community College women's basketball team recorded a 59-56 win over Baltimore City Community College on Monday night at the BCCC P.E. Center.
The game was pretty even the entire way. PGCC had a three-point advantage (23-20) at halftime that proved to be the margin of victory at the end of the game. Each team scored 36 points in the second half.
Tiara Smith led PGCC with 17 points and added five rebounds. Porchia Smith had 12 points and seven boards, while Tashiana Hill had 11 points and three rebounds. Sabrina Cue grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds.
Aquira Nixon (Baltimore, Md./Northwestern HS) led the Lady Panthers (6-11, 4-4 MD JUCO) with team-highs of 18 points and 14 rebounds.
Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown HS) posted 17 points and 10 boards,
Tashay Smith (Baltimore, Md./Overlea HS) had 12 points and
Cindy Kolade (Ivory Coast/Western HS) had 12 rebounds.
The Lady Panthers host Chesapeake College at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
