BALTIMORE, Md. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated Allegany College of Maryland 86-50 on Saturday afternoon in the P.E. Center.
The Lady Panthers (9-4, 4-1 MD JUCO), continued their hot six-game winning streak as they led from start to finish and went into the break with a 45-26 lead. The Lady Panthers led by as many as 43 in the second half.
Allegany (3-7, 1-2) had two players in double figures, Gina Rievel had 20 points and Courtney Landis had 17 points.
For the Lady Panthers, Iman Scott (Hagerstown, Md./N. Hagerstown HS) scored a game-high 23 points and nine rebounds. Tache Smothers (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim HS) had 10 points, six rebounds and five assists in the game.
Shamera O'Neal (Baltimore, Md./Southwestern HS) and Cierra Tourville (Manhattan, N.Y./Joppatowne HS) combined for 20 points. O'Neal also had five assists, two steals and a block.
Nikita Brady (Baltimore, Md./Southwestern HS) ended the game with eight points, seven boards and three steals.
The Lady Panthers are home again on Wednesday January 8th against Salem Community College at 6 p.m.
