Box Score CUMBERLAND, MD – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated Allegany College of Maryland 81-46 on Wednesday night in the Bob Kirk Arena. BCCC improves their record to 8-2 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
BCCC never trailed in the game, racing out to a 14-2 lead with 13:33 on a three-pointer by
Kai Wyatt (Baltimore, Md./MATHS HS).
The Lady Panthers led by as many as 21 points late in the first half before taking a 38-19 lead into the break.
The second half was pretty much the same as BCCC scored the first nine points extending their lead to 28.
The Lady Panthers scored 42 points in the paint, had 27 points off of 23 turnovers and had 25 second chance points.
BCCC's bench scored 44 points in the game.
Allegany was led by Daja Belt with 22 points, seven rebounds and seven steals.
For BCCC,
Amia Howard (Baltimore, Md./Benjamin Franklin HS) posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds to go along with four assists, four steals and three blocks.
Jada Hatcher (Baltimore, Md./MATHS HS) scored 12 points and
Asia Brittingham (Baltimore, Md./Friendship Academy) finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.
Tache Smothers (Greencastle, Pa./Greencastle-Antrim HS) had 10 points four assists, four rebounds and two steals. Wyatt ended the game with nine points.
The Lady Panthers will be in action again on Saturday, December 13 to face the Community College of Philadelphia at 2 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
