BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated College of Southern Maryland on Saturday afternoon in the P.E. Center 93-42.

The Lady Panthers didn't show any signs of the long layoff with their last game being on October 31^st. The Lady Panthers raced to a 12-0 lead before the Lady Hawks got on the board with a three-pointer from Leea Parker.

The second quarter was much of the same as BCCC went into the half with a 38-20 lead.  

In the third quarter the Lady Panthers blew the game wide open scoring 36 points in the quarter.  The Lady Panthers held the Lady Hawks to 11.8 percent (2-of-17) shooting in the third quarter.

The Lady Panthers went on in the fourth quarter to close out the victory as well as securing their first win of the season.

For the Lady Hawks, Celia Gallego Barea finished with 10 points and seven rebounds and Ashley Pittman also scored 10 points.

Troniqua Black (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson HS) had a huge night with 26 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, six blocks and four steals. LaShay
Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) had 18 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.  

She'cquan Bailey (Snow Hill, Md./Snow Hill HS) had a triple-double with 14 points, 11 assists, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks.

Courtney Crawford (Lanham, Md./Archbishop Carroll HS) finished the game with 11 points and seven rebounds and Alyn Sankar (Baltimore, Md./Kenwood HS) had nine points and eight rebounds.

Brittany Hinton (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep HS) came off the bench with nine points and six rebounds and Alexis Wade (Raleigh, N.C./Southeast Raleigh HS) had 12 rebounds, four points, four assists and three steals.

On Wednesday November, 18^th the Lady Panthers will host the Lady Cougars of Frederick Community College in the P.E. Center for Youth Day at 6 p.m.

General admission will be $5, $2 for BCPS and free admission for BCCC faculty, staff and students with valid I.D.
