Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team once again pitched a first quarter shutout in 78-41 win over CCBC-Catonsville on Saturday in the P.E. Center. BCCC is now over .500 with an 8-7 record to head into the holiday break.
The Lady Panthers have outscored their opponents 50-0 in the first quarter in the last two games. On Saturday the score was 22-0 after the first 10:00 was over.
BCCC scored the first 24 points of the game before Aylia Ross made a lay-up to put the Catonsville on the board.
The game was pretty much out of reach and the Lady Panthers were able to finish the game off easily.
The Lady Cardinals' Ross put on a show for the fans as she scored 32 of her teams 41 points with 24 of them coming from behind the three-point line. Ross shot 8-of-21 (38 percent) for the game from long-range.
She'cquan Bailey (Snow Hill, Md./Snow Hill HS) led the team with 21 points while adding eight steals, six assists and six rebounds and
LaShay Stackhouse (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) finished with 12 points and eight boards.
Natasha Roy (Gambrills, Md./Arundel HS) had 11 points, nine steals and five assists and
Courtney Crawford (Lanham, Md./Archbishop Carroll HS) ended the game with 11 points and five steals.
The Lady Panthers will return to action after the Christmas break on Monday, January 4
th, as they will face the same Catonsville team in Catonsville, Md. for a 5 p.m. game.
