Box Score BALTIMORE, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College men's and women's basketball teams were both victorious on Tuesday night in the last regular-season home game in the P.E. Center against Chesapeake College.
In the women's game, the BCCC beat Chesapeake College 72-63. The win gave the Lady Panthers their first regular-season MD JUCO Championship in recent years.
Amia Howard (Baltimore, Md./Benjamin Franklin HS) had 18 rebounds, 16 points, six assists, four steals and three blocks.
Michelle Wright (Baltimore, Md./Dunbar HS) ended with 26 points and seven boards.
In the men's game,
John Majors (Upper Marlboro, Md./Largo HS ) finished the game with 17 points and seven rebounds in the victory over Chesapeake 93-79. The men's team is currently the third seed in the MD JUCO. Five other Panthers scored in double figures as well.
The men's team will play again on Saturday, February 7
th at 1 p.m. against College of Southern Maryland in a game before they go into tournament play.
General admissions will be $5, $2 for BCPS and free admissions for all BCCC faculty, staff and students with a valid I.D.
