Box Score NORTH EAST, MD. – The Baltimore City Community College women's basketball team defeated Cecil College on Wednesday night in the Physical Education Complex 58-42 with help from the hot shooting from freshman guard
Natasha Roy (Gambrills, Md./Arundel HS).
Roy shot 6-of-11 from behind the three-point line and scored a game-high 22 points.
The Lady Panthers led for the majority of the game as the defense held the Lady Seahawks to 16-of-57 from the field (28.1 percent) and forced 25 turnovers.
The Lady Panthers scored 32 points in the paint and 19 points off of turnovers.
Cecil was led by Imani Quinn with 13 points and 11 rebounds and Nia Trusty with 11 points. Dony'e Moses pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds.
For BCCC,
Alexis Wade (Raleigh, N.C./Southeast Raleigh HS) finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and six assists and
Courtney Crawford (Lanham, Md./Archbishop Carroll HS) ended the game with 14 rebounds and eight points.
She'cquan Bailey (Snow Hill, Md./Snow Hill HS) had nine points, eight assists, six rebounds and six steals. Roy also grabbed seven boards in the game.
The Lady Panthers will be home on Wednesday, January 27
th in the P.E. Center versus Chesapeake College. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m.
General admission will be $5, $2 for BCPS and free admission for BCCC faculty, staff and students with valid I.D.
