MARTINSVILLE, VA -- The Lady Panthers went to Martinsville, VA with one goal in mind this weekend, go undefeated in the Patrick Henry Community College Classic. That's exactly what they did as they went 2-0 defeating both Guilford Tech and Patrick Henry Community College to improve their overall record to 3-1.

On Saturday afternoon the Panthers matched up with Guilford Tech and came away with a 78-70 victory in a game where they led by 16 at the half. Sophomore
Raelyn Muldrow led the BCCC Lady Panthers with 24 points, 7 steals, and 4 assists. Sophomore
Vivian Chigbu had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.

On Sunday afternoon the Lady Panthers blew out the tournament host Patrick Henry Community College by 35 points 75-41. The Lady Panthers got off to a slow start trailing 8-16 after the first quarter, but once the second quarter begin BCCC quickly asserted their dominance and took control of the game. The route was on as they outscored Patrick Henry CC 67-25 in the final three quarters.

All five starters scored in double figures as the team seemed to take turns attacking the basket and knocking down mid-range jump shots. Sophomore
Vivian Chigbu had a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds while Freshman
Sasha Francis was like a do it all Swiss Army knife scoring 14 points, dishing out 7 assists, grabbing 6 rebounds, and coming up with 4 steals. The other three starters (
Raelyn Muldrow,
Staisha Daniels, and
Klaudija Bacovic) each scored 11 points.
