Lady Panthers Split First Two of the Season

The Lady Panthers opened up their 2018-19 season at home with a convincing 64-35 win over Jefferson CC from New York.
Their balanced scoring effort was led by Vivian Chigbu with 10 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Brianna Jones scored 9 points and had 6 steals, Nia Caver had 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Gelecia Cooper also scored 8 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and also had 4 steals in the win.
Unfortunately, the Lady Panthers could not follow up their season opening win with another one as they lost to Chesapeake College 53-67 on Monday.

Next up for the Lady Panthers (1-1) will be their first away game of the season as they travel to Virginia for the PHCC Classic on Saturday to face Guilford Tech at 12pm. Then on Sunday at 2pm they'll take on the tournament host Patrick Henry CC.
