Chigbu has career night as Lady Panthers rout Riverhawks 104-38

Box Score BALTIMORE, MD -- The Lady Panthers of Baltimore City Community College started hot, stayed hot, and put the Riverhawks away early on in what would end up being a career night for sophomore forward Vivian Chigbu.

Chigbu scored a career-high 28 points and pulled down 21 rebounds for the first 20/20 game of her collegiate career in the Panthers 104-38 blowout victory over Anne Arundel.

"Viv had the best game of her career at BCCC thus far," said head coach Felicia Hardy, "Vivian has been putting in extra work during the break and her hard work and dedication to getting better has paid off. I was very happy with Viv's effort on both ends of the floor during the game, she has the ability to dominate the boards. I anticipate we will see more double/double games from Viv."

Chigbu was one of five Lady Panthers to score in double-figures in the win as the team is now back over the .500 mark with a 9-8 record. Klaudija Bacovic had her first double-double of the season as she scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Sasha Francis, Nia Caver, and Raelyn Muldrow each scored 16 points as the Panthers shot 47 percent from the field in the win.

NEXT UP

The BCCC Lady Panthers will be back at home at 5:00 PM Wednesday night to take on the Prince George's Community College Owls.
