Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Panthers tame Cougars 71-66; Camara's 21 points 10 rebounds double-double leads the way.

BALTIMORE, MD -- The BCCC Panthers matched up against the Frederick Community College Cougars four weeks ago in the 2018 Ben Williams Classic and suffered a tough 72-75 loss. New year; new results!

In their first matchup this season the #15 D-II team in the country won the battle on the glass and shot 42% from three point range, but this time around the stifling Panthers defense was locked in from start to finish and were having none of it as they held the Cougars to 30% from three point range and out rebounded Frederick CC 47-23.

The Panthers shot 40% from three point range with Kobby Ayetey and Victor Okafor each hitting three three-pointers in the game. The previously mentioned stifling defensive effort was spearheaded by Joe Adedayo's 5 steals as he continously locked down his man and played the passing lanes well all game. Adedayo also had the highlight of the game with a ridiculous putback dunk as he came flying in from the baseline and put down the one-handed slam off of a missed three-point attempt.

When it was all said and done the BCCC Panthers walked out of Frederick with a 71-66 victory. The Panthers were led by Mohamed Camara with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists. Victor Okafor had 17 points and 9 rebounds and Ndongo Ndaw was the final Panther in double-figures and also had a double-double with 11 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

The Baltimore City Community College Panthers (12-4, 5-0) will be on the road again this Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00PM as they'll take on the Lakers of Garrett College (10-4, 4-2).
